Dont carry a spare with me since the cars too low to get it out / a jack under. On a long trip i'll stick one in the boot.

I've been meaning to get a tin of this stuff for a while. Would be nice to know if its any good!

its best to carry a few blocks of wood if your car is too low for a jack :y:

no good if you shred a tyre at 70 mph on a motorway though is it?

well obviously not but that stuff will protect from punctures and you can leave the spare at home and phone someone to bring it to you

tbh i dont know why peaople get rid of it, its not getting in the way, people are so concerned about weight issues, damn whores :p

i carry tyre weld only.

On most cars if you shred the tyre completely it makes it impossible to get the crummy standard jack under the car anyway so its a recovery job.

I use tyre weld to. Cars to low and with the splitter i can only jus get my hand under let alone a wheel lol... I've used it once before and its great, seals the inside and when u get it changed they can pull out the welded blanket and repair the puncher, brilliant :y:

Spare wheel - 18kg

Tyre Weld 0.8kg

Tyre weld for me boys ang girls!

I have tyre weld but one thing to bear in mind is that if you get a puncture, with tyre weld the punctured tyre can't be repaired, whereas with a spare you can normally repair a tyre if it is just a nail puncture etc

you two just contradicted each other!!!

On my can of Tyre weld it says that once a tyre has been inflated it can be used for a short journey and that the tyre will need replacing afterward

Like mentioned by Craig (Saxo180) once you've used it you've pretty much mucked the tyre up plus it aslo depends on the size of the hole.

Bloke I work with carries it as he rides a Fireblade and its abit hard to carry a spare on a bike lol anyway he got a punchure and used one of these but as fast as he was putting it in it was coming out through the hole and spraying up his garage door lol

Personally Id carry a spare unless your like Saxo180 and track bound where everylittle bit of weight counts.

My dad had a puncture in his 4x4 tyre on 18's, and the spare was magically flat too.....

Went to a shop for some tyre weld and it needed 6 cans before it was inflatable!!!!

- And how do you get that fucking tyre cage off because i cant get a jack under my car anyway.....
