Hi everyone.

Ive got a Y reg saxo vtr and im getting a heavy vibration through the steering wheel between 50-60mph? I know this sounds strange but its definatly only when driving between 50 and 60 mph and totally dissapears outside of those speeds.

The thing is ive had the wheels balanced already by citroen and there fine and i cant seem to work out why this happening. Ive been told it could possibly be a suspension strut??? The car is totally un-modified.

Any hints on this one would be much appreciated as i dont want to have to take it to citroen and pay an arm and a leg!!!

Much appreciated.

Wheels probs need balancing, tracking will cause the car to pull to once side

wheel balancing my friend that will be the cause of your problem :).

Just read uve had them balanced, get them done again, mine wer e balanced by monkeys i then got them re-balanced by my mate and they were perfect, got rid of the vibration

also try your rear wheels on your front etc.

tracking is adjusting the camber of the wheel so could cause uneven tyre wear and a shake in the wheel aswell as snaking across the road when wheel is straight

i would take them somewhere else to get the balanced ckecked get them to do it with the weights still on that way u will know if the balance is out failing that get the tracking checked and also check for a out of shape tyre that also causes the steering to vibrate
