CAT scraping

Bought a 1.4 westcoast and it was on 16's lowered 30mm, front arches rubbed on lock, and with people in the back rear arches rubbed. But even with just me and one person in the passenger seat , every time i went over speedbumps, (even small ones !) the cat scraped on the ground. Causing me to have to get a new cat. I have since had a new powerflow dual uxhaust system installed, and the car is now back at standard height due to having complete new VTR rear axle (for disc conversion) and it obviously doesnt scrape the ground. I am soon to lower the car again by 30mm, but im hoping the scraping will not occur again ! Although i will be removing the cat and installing a decat pipe, i still need to keep the cat in good condition for the MOT ! Can anybody help ?!!?!

on the back the tyre will rub on the bracket to hold the rear bumper on if u get an angle grinder cut the bracket off it will not rub at all mines lowered 40 at the back and has17s and there is no rubbing

what tyres do you use

195/45/16 or 195/40/16

195/45/R16. Its kinda in the centre section that it was scraping on the ground, just by the cat , and i think there was a few scratch marks on the CAT itself

take the cat out alltogether , mines lowered 60mm all round and had to take it out but make sure u put it back for your M.O.T smileys/smiley4.gif

yep, went to do that yesterday matey , got the CAT off, and offered up the magnex decat pipe ive got. Guess what? Inch and a half too short ! lol. Ordered another one from Piper today, hopefully that will fit!

for rubbing on full lock comes because you got the wrong tyres 195/45/16 are to high.

you realy need 195/40/16
