if you dont want any rubbing you will need arch work

yeh mate you can get 17`s on but it will require arch work. ive got 17`s and lower 60mm and did all the arch work myself and it does`ny rub.

0 dear. maybe i should just keep standard wheels and get it lowered 40mm. or maybe get me wheels refurbed and done in matt black? i have a dark green vtr.

lets face it though when do you really need full lock? when your parking eh. you only need to hit the part where its rubbing back a few mm with a hammer and its sorted. its not hard

You will be fine on 16's if you keep to 40 profile tyres mate, cant easily go down 60mm not problem:y:

cheers guys. ill probably just get my clutch fixed and do my windows and get a new spoiler next then. need time to think about wheels. my car is all standard at the moment exept a have multi colour neons and a little bit of ice. but wheels is where i would like to start nvm
think about lowering your car before changing the wheels
- may look a bit tractor with 16s unlowered.

If you put 17's on, you will deff need arch work done. You may also find you get through a set of ball-joints quickly, cause it will put alot of strain on the suspension arms and steering rack.
Stick with 16's mate, 40 profile tyre and drop it 40m, looks perfect!

I ran 16's on my furio down 40mm no problem - Shame one came off when someone tried nicking them... bastards...
But yeah, I also had 40 profile tyres.
It also looked like a 4x4 with the 16's before it was lowered, would have looked better lowered on steelies first - i bought it with the alloys though...
Back on VTR Rims now though, subtle, going black with them soon.
