I'm quite broad across my shoulders, but I’ve let my belly get bigger and squashier. I don't have anything else to lose apart from the belly, its the only really thing thats got bigger, and maybe signs of moobs!!

I work in IT, 20 min drive, so I can’t walk, so my exercise is rubbish, most I get is to and from my car.

Now the plans is to try and lose it, then tone up and I was wondering if what I was doing was sufficient enough?

Monday (20/30min jog (6am, or 8pm depending))
Wednesday (20/30min jog (6am, or 8pm depending))
Friday (20/30min jog (6am, or 8pm depending))
Saturday (20/30min jog (6am, or 8pm depending))

And I don’t eat shit, I eat lots of fruit and veg and substantial amount of main meals in the week, but I do enjoy my fizzy pop and have to maybe cut down on the Monday-Friday sandwiches for lunch at work?? Maybe have a salad 2 out of the 5 days?

Any help would be appreciated.
Wishful deadline would be the end of august :A:

Thanks.

When you have sandwhiches (sp)

eat wholemeal bread

white bread is one of the most fattening things you can eat if i remember correctly?

sit ups will strengthen your abs but it'll still be behind a load of blubber.

I've started running like a mofo over the last week and bit. Im eating BARE shitty foods too be I already look my defined and scrawny than i did before.

Just get out and run. Dont be put off by being bollocks on your first run, I've noticed even in a week and bit that im running further and quicker.

cant beat a good 200 sit ups every day, do 100 at night and 100 in the morning and eat the right stuff ie sandwiches and try to drink water instead of pop

200?!? bollocks to that.

Peeps overtrain there abs and as a result make slow progress.

I just to 2 sets of 10 UBER slow sit-ups. my abs are cracking.

abs are made in the kitchen, you need a very low bodyfat to show off a 6pac. the picture above (ab pulldowns) are good and also weighted crunchs/leg raises. but as with anything if you do them wrong you wont get results.

1 proper situp is better than 100 shit ones

i used to be about 14 and a half stone. heavy sh!t i know but im 6ft 5 and a national level swimmer so its all muscle :P.
anyway in january i was diagnosed as being diabetic, since ive drank diet drinks and not had any sweets im not 13stone 6. admititantly some of this weight loss has been muscle but its quite a difference.

some good exercises for working your abs are obviosly sit ups. as well as this doing the plank is very good and its very painful too. i do 10 lots of 45seconds on 45seconds off, gets the job done, as well as this you can lie on your back with your legs on the floor then slowly lift both legs up and then back down but making sure they dont touch the floor, this is a killer.

the best thing however that ive found is doing butterfly(dolphin) leg kick on your back in the swimming pool, depends how your swimming is though.

my dads doing a personal training course atm, ill see what i can find and make a post in the morning, hope this helps :y:
