for your seatbelt airbag tensioners
oh right cool, thanks.
Also, to avoid opening another thread... sometimes the car goes through periods of weird rev patterns.... e.g. revving itself up and down alternating every second... Do you think disconnecting the battery for a few hours may reset the ECU and stop this problem, maybe?
thanks,
Chris

They are to do with the seat belt pre-tensioner system.
The pre-tensioner for those who dont know is a device that in a smash it is designed to pull the seat belt mount backwards tightening the seat belt stopping you from moving forward, this system is paired with the airbag system and disconnected while make the airbag light come on.
You can remove the whole system but unless you a serious track slag and are looking for every little bit of weight to be removed then leave them.
If your changing you seats for buckets then you can remove the pre-tensioner from the factory seat and cable tie it to the subframe of the new bucket seat so your airbag light doesnt come on like I have :y:
Hope that helps
