M3 Mirror Baseplates Fit?

HI everyone just wondering if someone could help me. i've bought m3 mirrors form essex racing but the baseplates appear too large. They're wider than the originals and overlap the window.... is this normal? I'm worried water'll go in the car? I'm not to sure but it doesnt seem to be a brilliant idea having water going into the car. Am i missing a part or something? If you could reply before it rains i'd be chuffed coz im a lil worried.

i got the m3 mirrors and base plates from essex racing before mate, they do over lap the window a bit but dont worry about it, no water got in mine, only thing it did do was mark the paint a bit, id run some sticky foam round or even a bead of sealent on the baseplate leave it to dry then put them on :y:

Aww well i feel a bit better now lol thanks alot. im still really scared tho coz i poured sum water over the mirror n i cwd see it all goin inside th door coz i took the speaker out. n theres loads. the mirrors over lpa is like 2cm or summit its loads. n did ure mirrors shake like mad wen u wer drivin?

no mat shouldnt shake at all, just tightent them up goo they should be ok
