does anyone know where the standard area is for the vts engine fan? im not sure if mine has been removed and replaced with another one smaller in a different space.
two fans on the front of the radiator

i only have one on the right... why would this be removed?

Think there should be 2, is there the hole for a second fan?

You can just about see in the bottom of the pic, theres space for 2 fans but only the one on the right has a fan

like that but is generally 2, may only be on new VTS' though?

yeh there is a hole for a 2nd one, a bigger one that the one i have.

only 106s in hot countries like Greece had two fans I believe
yeh, obv would be better with 2 fans but you don't need two, would cool down quicker

naaaa, its not needed... cool the engine too much and it run less efficient. In cold and windy england one is fine. I've yet to see mine come on.

Yeh, the 2nd fan was to do with aircon iirc, in this country we didnt get the option of aircon so just the one fan on the right there is all you need, the aim isnt to cool the engine down, its to keep it warm while its stood still / after a long trip ;)

As above... the second fan was used for (non-UK) cars equipped with air-con.

you taking the piss? yours has never come on! Mine comes on almost every time i come home from college, driving home if i sit in traffic for about say 2 minutes on it comes. and its well loud! :(

naaa serious man... i do think it might actually be buggered though. i know dervs are thermally more efficient so the engine bay doesnt get as hot but still... i've seen the needle creep above the normal mark... need to get it checked me thinks.

aye, no harm done by getting it checked, mine flies on soon as it goes over half way
