Central Locking

hey everyone, am new to the site just got my firts car...gold VTR not even passed mt est yet but am provisionally insured so its gettin driven :P

Just wondering my remote control central locking works to unlock the car, but not to lock it? any ideas bout whats wrong, do i just need a new battery for the remote, if so which type?

could be a faulty remote (button broken) but change the battery to see if it makes a difference first.

As above... may just be a fault with the "lock" button. It wouldn't be the battery if the fob can be used to open the car can it ;)

i had the same with mine, i de-soldered the lock button then soldered it back on, now it works and is really sensitive as i had to push it hard before
