Had problems lately with the vts cutting out, normally happens when dropping from 3rd to 2nd to take a corner or roundabout. It has happened at 30ish as well and I've had to sort of bump start it when im driving along.
I thought the plugs would solve it but it's just been for its 70k service and is still happening.
Any ideas????
Cheers

hi it might be the throttle body i have a vts and when i go down gear it revs low like it going to stall my nephew works at a pug garage so he put it on the computer and thats what he told me ..just needs a clean out ..

done a search but just came up with plugs and fuel filter etc

saxo1man: does it seem like you revs dropped too much if you knocked it into neutral while you were driving and the battery light would flash on then it would it cut out or idle back to 750.

i'll get the trottle body checked / cleaned and hopefully thats what it will be
Cheers

Will it need to go to Citroen or Pug dealership for this? or any backstreet garage do it?

had the induction kit off back to the throttle body but didnt manage to get the actual throttle body off

Saxo's are known for cutting out though arent they?

had the car back in,
throttle body cleaned out even though mechanic said it wasn't anything unusually bad

still cutting out

another post i read was about possible head gasket trouble that led the car to overhead that much that the heat melted the sensors ?

also the radiator never kicks in and it isnt unusual for the car to creep to to nearly full just before the red temp warning light comes on while sitting in heavy traffic?

Ok so this may sound strange but ive had a similar problem with my VTS Stallin while turning(changing down into 2nd, the rev's would drop and the car would cut out half way across the rd causing me to nearly crash into a parked car cause the p/steering had gone! any how i had a mechanic look at it and the dianostic came up with two faults Air and Fuel.. He checked my car over and said my Exhaust was the problem apprently it had the wrong one on it.. had this changed on Thurs and it's a completly different car the erratic revving it had, has also gone!!!! U never no.
Good Luck!
