Hi people,
Just installing my new front speakers. Unclipped the grillle in the door panel and found that the four screws holding in the orignal speakers are not torx screws. They are just round bits of silver with a round hole in that nothing fits in or grips to.
Can somebody help me in telling me how to get old speakers out so I can fit my new speakers.
Thanks,
Francis

they are pot rivets. just drill them out and you can remove the speakers

as above, you need to drill them out.... use a smaller drill than the head and they will come out fine. You can prize them out with heavy duty scissors if not ;)

Yeah you need to drill throught the middle and they will just fall out.

How annoying, trust the french to come up with rivets like that. do I just need a 3mm drill bit to drill it out?

just use a drill bit a bit bigger than the hole in the middle of the rivet, if the hole rivet starts rotating round start rotating the drll at an angle and it should bite onto it :y:

Thanks, Pred, will have a go at the rivets when my dad brings the drill home from work today.
