Make sure to sand lightly, clean all the dust off then prime well lightly sand again with a very fine wet'n'dry paper. Allow to dry over night is best then apply the last coat (White) then Lacyer to really give the last coat a shine.

You dont have to sand, but you will get a slightly textured finish which is ok but it wont look as nice as a totolly smooth one :y:

coats primer, 3 coats white and 3 coats lacquer.

would you agree with that?

You can buy sheets of sandpaper & wet&dry paper in halfrauds too!

EDIT: 3 and 3 and 3 and you should see no problems, keep the coats thin though, thats the trick!

i just used, 1200 grit paper - gave them a good rub down, primered them 3 times, painted them white with just normal white paint (as in like tin can multi purpose paint - not a car make one), then lacquered 3 times.

Was an easy job. Would leave the lacquer for a good 5 days after the last coat. Mine has gone all manky on one of the badges so going to do it again. Look good when there done aswell :y:

leave the laquer and paint to harden for a good week too, unless you want your fingerprints left into the finish

do i have to use a car paint, or can i use some random white paint from a tin?

dont have to use car paint exactly, as long as its got some plastic primer and a good few coats of laquer on it, will be ok

tin of paint?? is it a spray type??
