i seen a gti with a vtr dash in it. it was in the french car mag. but they said they had to extend the cable for the heaters and such like. they also said it was a nightmare to do. hope this helps

I think there are pro's and con's of both dashes. The GTi comes with a passenger airbag AND glovebox whereas the Mk2 VTS only comes with a passenger airbag. I think the Mk1's came with a small pop up pocket on top of the dash. I'm not overly keen on the shape of the GTi dash as it looks a bit "dated" but it's smoother than the VTS's so it's hell of a lot easier to clean :)

Yeahh the dash is the only nasty thing about a GTi
