Sunstrip ????????

hey guys just had my first MOT and they failed it because of the sunstrip i had. i got it free in Max Power mag so it was not very big. i want a silver one on there now how do you guys go about getting through an MOT with these larger ones on. let me know what do you think of a silver strip on a black car.

as far as i no, if your sunstrip is to big, then it has to be either reduced in size otherwise it will fail! think it has something to do with the amount of window space it would take up and blocking your view!
i think thatif you are going to be getting other parts of your car in silver/chrome then i think it should be ok, but i'd have htought a black sunstrip would have looked better either way as it matches the cra and if you have tints, then it would also make the front window appear tinted

it has to be less than 12 inches deep doesn't it and your windscreen wipers cannot come into contact with it.

never bothered any MOT guy i know but maybe you got a dick lol.

personally if you had a black car i would get a black sunstrip with black tints smileys/smiley4.gif

Yeh, ive got a silver sunstrip on my silver saxo, and its massive, alot bigger than the max power one , but it just got through an MOT without them even mentioning it! Mine even is hit by the wiper strokes! Oh well. U probably did have a dick MOT tester as James said!

You could try a smaller set of wiper blades but......! i had a severnside motorsport sticker across my screen. Took it for mot at citroen an passed. Year later took it to independant mot station, bastards would have failed it if i didn't remove it there and then. Every poxy shitty bastard letter! smileys/smiley7.gif Still wanna hurt the twatty tester!

Just depends if tester had a bad day/week/month/year. smileys/smiley4.gif
