Right, i have a 1.0L saxo :p. The brakes on it seem like really, really, really shite though. Sometimes i think that i wont stop in time (i dont drive fast btw as im still learning). They just seem really dodgy.

Can anyone recommend something to make them abit sharper (as in make me stop quicker :P). Dont want to spend much money though. Got its MOT in 2 months and dont think it would actually pass due to them being sh*t. Anyone recommend any new pads or even new discs?

Have around £30-£60 to spend ;)

if the brakes are a standard size then there will be no bite improvement (despite the sales ploy) id get some new standard brakes and try adjusting the pedal bar (that goes across the back of engine bay) as this will mean it works straight away when you press the pedeal, obviously bleeding the brakes correctly will also help, as will a larger master cylinder.
