Just this morning was sat in traffic, got a little bored so rev'd the engine a little, then when i took my foot off the accelerator and the revs dropped the indicator fell below 1000 and my car cut out. sometimes when i idle, it sits just below the 1000 and sounds like its struggling! Any idea guys???

Mine use to do this now and again.
The problem I had was that the air flow into the engine when idle was poor.
Firstly, check you air filter (always a good start). Possibly need a clean or a new one.
When you rev and it hits 1000 does the needle bounce a little bit?
Check your pipes that come off the air filter, you could possibly have something blocked.
I had to get some more tubes as one the pipes leading from the air filter had split and something had leaked in causing a blockage. This sorted my problem :y:
Just something for you to try. Hope this helps.

good advice ^. i had this problem and it was due to a breather pipe that had fallen off

I had that once in traffic. Its a right pain cos unless i gave it revs it just died on me.
Trying to press all three pedals at the same time without crashing in to the car in front is not for \/\/inners!
Gave it blast down the bypass when I'd got through the traffic sorted it out!
