saxo spluttering

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone may have some idea with whats going on with my car. It keeps spluttering every now and then, sometimes its so bad I can't even drive it. I've replaced the map sensor as thats what came up on the diagnostics machine and the coil pack has also been replaced. My uncle is a mechanic and luckily for me he comes to my rescue. (yes im a woman!) He currently has my car as it started spluttering whilst I was on my way home form work on wednesday, the revs went up to 2000 then down below 1000 and the engine management light came on, he seems to think its my map sensor again as it looks burnt out?????

just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem??

Have you tried changing the plugs mate

try changing the fuel filter....I had a similar problem, replaced the fuel filter, gave it a day and it was fine!

Start with the cheapest changes first:

Spark plugs,
Fuel filter,
Coil Pack,
Lambda Sensor

cheers guys,

i've already changed the spark plugs etc as it was only serviced 3weeks ago, coil pack has been changed aswell.

starting to cost alot of money.....and doing my head in now.
