have a look in the FAQs

there 13cm front and 10cm rear

also depends what you want to spend and if your going to amp them

id recommend getting some amped up, boston S50s seem to be the best entry level components

helpin me out alot today pred. i had a quick look in the FAQ's but couldnt find much, apart fromt the thing about 6X9's being bit shoddy. would you amp them the same way as an amp or is it a reli small amp that would fit in the door card???

go down to my post basic FAQs :y:

as for amp just a 70 pound 2 channel one will do the job, just fit it under the seat, crossovers in rear pockets or under dash

Components are great for the front door speakers but will need ampin up or you will get no benefit as they need at least 100w each side to get em pumpin!

I think the 10cm rears are too small to be honest, I personally would fit a stealth shelf with 6"x9"s I've never had a bad experience with them and you'll get a really bassy tone as the boot space works as an enclosure.

If you go down the components route consider using some sound deadening- as you know saxos are quite flimsy, brown bread is good stuff and easy to work with it would only require the area around the speakers doing :)

If your head unit is something like 45wx4 you'll get decent treble but not so much bass. If you're gonna use upgraded speakers get a sub and amp to even the treble and bass.

Also worth noting it depends what music your into, I like dance so my perfect set-up includes 3 10" subs components (amp'd up) and 6"x9"s. If I were into rap or garage id fit a 15" sub + components (amp'd up) and 6"x9"s.

arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh 6x9s :p (not going to go into it)

you can just hook the components up to the headunit

or if you dont want to spend much some coaxials are alright for standard upgrades

I'm confused as to why you think they're shoddy! I know they dont look the neatest, mind!

I personally wouldn't run components straight from the head unit, I've done it before and when I ampd em up they sounded amazing, the difference was beyond belief!!
