same problem mate. it doesnt effect battery charging incase your worried about that. only suggestion i can give is superglue... but i used it on mine it only lasted around 100 miles before the light started coming on again (thats if its a little plug thing your talking about not the bolt i can see)

should just be a plug mate, usually have to press a metal bit in then pull off, which can be a pain

just try pushing it all the way on, can cuase the battery light to come on

have you had the alternator tested, make sure the belt is on tight too

may be why its coming on mate, you could just bodge it for now and wrap a load of insulation tape around it to keep it in place whilst you get a spare

It's likely that you don't need a new plug. I had the same old issue with the battery light flickering. It went on for almost a year; I just kept wigging it! LOL. Anyway, if you want to solve it properly, (like I have finally done) you need to unplug that plastic clip part, then you'll notice that the alternator end of the connection has 2 male prongs, and the cable part has the female connections. Take a pointy knife of whatever you can use to get at the female connections, and force them closer together. When you do this correctly, you'll notice that when you plug it back to the alternator, it really presses on hard, and you have a good connection once again! :)
