yo. since join saxperience i have heard nothin good about quinn-direct. unfortunantly i am insured with them.
i have an exhaust backbox (sportex) and was wonderin if that will make my insurance void?
they say i am allowed to lower it etc but nothin to increase the performance. i only want back box for noise.

wb please

i think your meant to declare everything its just that with quinn its mods that increase performs that ups the price but am guessing you've still got to let them know about the rest i could be wrong

ring them and ask if you put a different back box on, would it increase your premium.

its wont make much difference to your policy, at most £40 but you need to declare, if you have a crash you insurance wont pay out, also if its you fault you could then be liable for paying to fix the other persons car

just ring them up and ask them how much they will charge for it

Definitely declare it. Thats what I found wierd about a Quinn quote. I wasnt asked if it was chipped, have after market alloys etc etc whereas with direct line I have all the questions, and even though my VTR is not modded, it would have cost me like 2k extra for the same cover I have with quinn.

I reckon they just dont so when (hopefully not) crunch time comes they see you have an air filter and void your cover :n:

Honesty is the best policy tbh.

i would declare it mate its not worth the hassle if you did have an accident

Declare it my friend. I am with Quinn also.

They are fairly cheap but the reason behind it is that if you have an accident they are a ball ache to pay out.

For the extra £20-40 it is going to cost you it is worth declaring. If not to be honest but for piece of mind at the end of the day.
:y:

Just ring and ask about it before you give any of your details :A:

I just declared my mods : Lowered, Pipercross induction kit, sports steering wheel etc... When i asked them originally they said it would be an extra £130 Then i got the engineers report form filled in by a garage and sent it off. They've just told me that after reviewing the report form they aren't going to add any extra into my policy after all!!!!!:y:

Any insurance compan should but only performance and some cosmetic mods will actually push ur policy/premiums up

Talk to em and find out what its going to cost and then decide ;)

lol ur supposed to declare any mods u do to ur car, but quinn dont increase the premium if its cosmetic like lights etc... lowering is classed as performance.

Quinn dont charge for cosmetic mods, but you will need to inform them, they dont chanrged for lowering but they may ask for a it to be aproved from a garage for saftey
