Why not use bootcamp, install Windows and have that running as well as MAC OS X, the webcam will work fine on MSN with Windows XP/Vista

Theres a program called 'mercury' that lets u use the webcam to chat to msn users. I'm not too big a fan of mercury though.
I use a cross network chat program called Adium, it lets you keep in touch with people on AIM, ICQ, MSN, mIRC etc all from the one place. Its got a great team behind it too so i would expect that they will soon have webcam support - probably worth keeping an eye on :)
For now though give mercury a try!

because that defies the point of having a mac!! most ppl will get a mac to get away from fucking windows. that why i have one.
i have always wondered about viewing webcams on my messenger for mac as well, but never could be arsed to go onto google and search for one. lol

its an absolute nightmare, this aMSN isnt too bad, its suposed to suport webcam but it just doesnt connect, ill give that mercury a go, apart from that the mac is 10 times better.

could have a debate all night about this...
depends what the mac is better at... i use macs 24/7 still would have a pc anyday compared to one... macs crash too easily for me, imo pc's are more heavy hearted sustain alot of pressure as in emmory cpu usages etc.
love mac for interface and design though.
hmm.. i can't remember what i used webcam for when i was using the emacs few years ago but i was able to use and veiw webcam for msn contacts.. might of been ichat? can't remember... will have to look it up.
Hope you get it sorted or find a solution! :)
