NEW Brakes - 260mm? [PICS]

I bought these brakes from an internet scrappie. Guy said they are from a 406 hdi and i asked for 266mm version of these brakes. Just got the brakes through the post and they only measure 260mm. Do you recognise these brakes, thanks!

have you offered them up to the strut yet see if they actually fit?
how much did you pay?

no not yet, 80 quid for the lot.

youd have been better off goin to a scrappy yourself and gettin sum off a 306 hdi or xsi etc they are 266mm the scrap yard near me charges £15 a caliper.

are the disks shagged or will they clean up ok?

disks look fine, no lips at all, i guess not very old.
pads are decent too.

With a bit of use they will de rust..:p

i really hope they fit the vts ok, im just confused as to why the discs are 260mm!

6mm less than GTI 140 ones..Wont really notice that i doubt..lol

You will need to Grind those carriers down though..Otherwise they will hit your strut i expect..

your brakes look great!
would it be a safe bet that when i do change the discs 266mm ones will fit fine?
what are your hoses - goodridge?

Yeah they may well do..the calipers look the same and would probably be the same size.
