Probably won't help as you're only 17 but I've been told that due to the interest insurers charge paying monthly, it is a lot cheaper to put it on a credit card and pay it off over the year.

Quinn Direct...? I'm looking for a 2002/3 VTR, I'm 19, had licence for 1yr and got quoted £1260 by Admiral, Fully Comp for the 2003 VTR with both parents on the policy. Cheapest so far, although seems everyone here really rates Quinn Direct, don't know much about them myself... are they really likely to do cheaper than what I got from Admiral??
