Well yea was going out for a drive yesterday and after about 10 mins the cd kept skipping. Its usually works fine stationary, but it was un-bearable and sounded wank. When I popped it out (didnt need it playing up) and put it back in it wouldnt even recognise a cd. After much thought I hit reset and it seems to work ok (idle).
Its nothing special, just a cd player I got with the car. (Sony CDX-S1000) or something.
Is this problem common or will it be down to a connection?

Ah ok mate, so for an upgrade it would be advisable to steer clear of sony's then!

ive had a few sony units one in me dads car and mine and they jump like hell, be best to get rid of it tbh mate, id recommend if you have an ipod use that on the aux port on the headunit, that way it wont skip being on a hard drive on the ipod/mp3 player
stick to good headunits like clarion, pioneer and alpine in the future :y:
