Hi people!

I'm somewhat distressed! :panic:

Difficult to describe this one, but I'll do my best. I've only really heard this in 2nd gear, which makes me think it's gearbox related. :( Not good, as it's only a few weeks since the S1 rallye box was installed. Basically, let's say you in 3rd and you are coming up to a corner and you want to throw into 2nd at very high revs, and let the engine due the braking for you... Got me? OK, well, I get this sound as the car begins t slow down after the downshift that can only really be described as like a bloody lawnmower! It sounds horrible as it comes down from like 6.5k to 4krpm... It doesn't make sense as this noise doesn't happen when you are accelerating in 2nd. Has anyone got ant ideas? Pleeeeeeease! :panic:

I'm hoping it's the exhaust, as this seems to making all sorts of funky noises now, but I'm not so sure.

yea get it looked at mate, if it is a box problem it will only get worse

Not that easy to get looked at, as 1) The box has to come out, fairly bif effort. And 2) The box will need opening up, even bigger effort.

I don't know... I did get a warranty from the breakers, but I need to give it some more testing first. I spent nearly £200 getting new bearings and seals put in.
