Im still debating wether or not to fit 17's on my VTR.Having read loads of posts off SSC and here,in begining to have second thoughts.

Depends how you drive your car really..... 17's look good but you lose some performance whereas 15s or 16s still look ok but you can throw the car into bends better. smileys/smiley4.gif

like dave says depends how you drive obviously 17's do have a fair few problems but it all depends on how good you wanna look. smileys/smiley17.gif

I dont mind loosing performance, just dont want to fork out all me wages 2 regret it at a later date.

So many people have different things to say

If you're not fussed about performance then i don't see why you shouldn't do it.

would you do the arch work yourself, or take it to R-Tec?

I do know its a pretty big job.Do severside motorsport do it?

Depends how confident you are. I wouldn't do it cos i'm a cack handed pillock when it comes to cars! Severnside have done loads of saxos with 17's.

u dont need to take the car anywhere to do the arches, i was in the same position as you, but i had 16" and was debating wheather or not to go for 17" in the end i did, its the best decision ive made, the car looks amazin im well pleased.

doing the arhes is a piece of piss, all you need to do is take front and rear arch liners out and remove ventilation boxes, take the rear bumper mounts off and grind away the little piece of metal that surrounds it, if your fitting a 205 tyre it will be fine, i can have 2 peeps in the back and it dosent touch at all.

if your not bothered about performance do it the car looks amazing.

hope this helps smileys/smiley17.gif

it only takes a couple of hours, when you have taken all
arch liners out you should then underseal them.
