orite guys, bit new to gettin my own insurance, been on my mums for 3 years and wanting to get my own now. Its for a vts im 20, been drivin for 3 years, no no claims (due to being on my mums) no accidents etc so clean license. Ive been doing alot of quotes and found afew gud ones:

with admiral - fully comp is £1800

but then saw in other threads that if u ad a named driver the quotes get cheaper so added my mum n dad as 2 named drivers and its reduced the quote to £1300. Just wondering why its cheaper with named drivers added to the policy??? any help clearing things up wud be gr8. cheers.

try quinn direct, they are cheap and a popular one on here! i was in the sam situation as you, no no claims but driving 4 years, try them and let us know! i pay £60 per month, but only 3rd party...

the reason its cheaper is because the insurance company think that ur parents might use the car as well, and because there a smaller risk that you of crashing it makes it cheaper because u dont have the car as much
