i have a Pioneer GM-X352 amplifier which i want to wire up to my Alpine 35watt RMS front component speakers which are presently wired up to the head unit

will this amp be too powerfull for the component speakers?

the amp is:

http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Pioneer%20GM-X352%20Car%20Amplifier:1991265227

the components are:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10151&productId=237965&categoryId=82384

anyone tell me if this would blow the speakers or if this would work???

cheers

It would work but those speakers aren't components

will be fine mate... but as mick said.. theyre coaxials. components have a separate tweeter, whilst coaxials have them built in ontop of the cones.

oh ok cool, thanks for that!

is the component the one that fits in the same place and then the tweeter else where like in the door card?

tbh mate the coaxial speakers would be best run just off the headunits amp, why dont you save a bit for some components

i thought about that actualy because i might be able to sell the amp for a bit and put that money towards components, and also sell the coaxials!
cheers
