vtr/vts wheels ftw. sorry not a fan of the current wheels. looks a lovely car but tad over priced for a furio. (IMO)

You would be at a push to get that for a R or S these days.

Personally Ive found that when selling a car to the general public away from mags and clubs like saxp, mods can alienate people who mayhave that kinda money to spend but dont want a 'Boy Racers' car.

Best advice is to spend alittle money to make money.

Refit the factroy wheels if you have them
Refit a standard number plate
and lower the price to at least £3k or lower as you just arent gona get that kinda money.

Most a link to the autotrader add so we can see how you have worded the add that way we can make suggestions to better word the add.

Its a nice car but whats nice to 50% the people on a Saxo club where members are generally aged between 18-28 will not be what 90% of people of will be looking for in a Saxo on autotrader.

The bits you remove you can sell privately or on here once the cars gone.

what sort of price you reckon then, as the wheels are 2 months old and cost £1k, on autotrader 3700 seems a good price compared to the others, but im not sure first car ive had to sell :(

Golden Rule

YOU NEVER GET BACK WHAT YOU PUT IN

Thats the sad truth, if your ad is really well writen then you could push for £2800 with full years MoT and at least 6months Tax. But I honestly think youd have more response trying to sell a slightly more standard car, but thats just my view

As people have already said, when you mod a car you are making it appeal to a smaller amount of potential buyers due to taste. You'll probably get the money if someone wants a car modded just like yours. You're best to make it standard and sell the mods seperately. You'll appeal to a wider audience

Yeah definately put it back to standard. You could sell the front morettes for 150, the alloys whack them on e-bay, might get 300 for them, and then you could buy some vtr wheels and some headlights for about 130. and sell it for about 2500

The fact you got that much is neither here nor there really as if you find the right person they will pay over the odds to buy the car.

Also you seem to have invested abit more time and money into your R than he has on his Furio.

Still reckon that the best chances of selling the car is to remove as much of the aftermarket items as you can, and if that garage still will offer you that plain stupid amount of money for your car then take it and run :y:
