Car Bomb in London

On 29 June 2007, an unexploded car bomb was discovered near the Tiger Tiger nightclub in the Haymarket, London. The device was removed and detonated in a controlled explosion. The attempted attack came just two days after Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Home Secretary Jacqui Smith took office, a week before the second anniversary of 7/7 and a day before a gay pride march was to take place along the same street. It is thought that it was a very crudely made device, and was being set up some time this morning, police recieving reports at 0200(UTC+1). The car was a metallic green Mercedes and there were reports of two large gas canisters and a large number of nails at 0400(UTC+1).[1][2][3]

A meeting of COBRA was held in central London about the incident. [4]

An eyewitness claims to have seen the car shortly before 0200, being driven "erratically" and then crashing into bins, after which, the driver got out and ran off.

The car will be removed to a forensics lab for further inspection[5].

Police officers carried out a controlled explosion on what the police described as a "potentially viable explosive device".

Piccadilly Circus Underground station was closed in response to the attempted attack.

I think its fair to say its terrorists, causing terror with a bomb. And lets be honest its highly likely that its all in the name of Islam. A worryin amount of young Muslims in Britain said in a surveythat they thought the London bombings were justified in the name of Islam. And yet they get to live here. Which ever group or individual it was deserves gential torture or something equally as painfully.

Perhaps its a personal attack? It just seems too coincidential that all those events are days/weeks apart.
