Brake hoses

Im fitting a VTR rear beam and have been told that the brake hoses going from to drums brakes are shorter than the ones to to discs (discs = longer hoses)

Is this right and where should i get some from? Just go to scrappy and get some?

i would buy some new ones,try citroen or even get some braided ones
