Alas my 360 has been stricken with the microsoft plague!

After 9 months of ownership my games began to freeze followed swiftly by 3 red lights.

So i rang microsoft support as its still under guarantee, and im very suprised by the swiftness of service.

They quickly registered my console to their support centre with minimum fuss, assessed the problem and sent me an e-mail with my UPS number.

I then rang UPS and the guy knew my name and adress and gave me a delivery time before i could even ask for a collection.

As i said im very surprised and impressed with the super fast returns to microsoft. The guy comes monday, just hoping the repair and return is just as fast.

All in all i had 7 mins of phone convo and my xbox is booked in and collection arranged, including que time etc.

:y:

hmm thats a bit of a pain, they explained ot me on the phone the max repair time is 25 days which i can live with as i dont play it alot tbh, plus alot of DIY coming up to keep me occupied.

But that guy says 3 weeks it took him and alot of phone calls etc, but i was told on the phone minimum 15 working days so he got it normal time tbh =/

but yeh i got the time to wait as im busy for a while ad dont play it alot. But i think its wrong the way xbox are dealing with this, and this red light problem is always occuring for everyone!

Think im gonna get a PS3 in the christmas drop...

My brothers has gone down with the same problem...1 month out of warranty. It's costing him £80 to get it looked at.

I've only dealt with the helpline once and the guy was a complete tw*t. Long story but basically ended with me asking him a technical question and the response I got was "I don't know, I didn't build it!" :err:

my bro has had this probelm. I looked in the users manual for him and 3 red lights means there is a problem with an internal component. could be processor, graphics, hard drive etc. It needs to be sent off for repair like my brothers!!!!
