Just seen Saxo with roof cut off!

Just been on the school run and saw a silver Saxo crashed into a roundabout in Leeds with its roof cut off :omg: Hope the person inside is alright :y:
I hate seeing stuff like that- it makes me feel sick, especially when the car is the same as yours :(

I saw something similar on thursday night, it was a cav with the roof cut off and when i drove past it looked like they were pulling people out :( it was on the news that they crashed while overtakin at high speed hit raillings and a lampost and are both critical in hospital :(

Nasty stuff, ive seen a few cars now with the roof cut off. Its been obvious that theyve crashed but theres been very little damage to really warrant hacking the roof off..

After doing a bit of digging and asking why i found out that...

If someone complains of a back injury or neck injury the fire service have standard procedure to cut the roof off and allow maximum room to free the person without putting any stress on their back

that explains why then as ive seen 1 car with not so much damage and the roof off, as for the one on thursday there wasnt much left of the car, you would of thought it would cause them more discomfort with all the sawing to get the roof off
