1408: 'A man who specializes in debunking paranormal occurrences checks into the fabled room 1408 in the Dolphin Hotel. Soon after settling in, he confronts genuine terror'
John Cusack, brilliant believable performance, one of my fav actors. Like this genre of film, horror/psycho thiller, intelligent instead of boring slasher flick (see Hostel 2). Sam L Jackson puts in a good turn too as the cold hotel manager. Pulls you in and gets you wrapped up in the storyline which is always going different places. It's not just a film about a scary hotel room, but instead more about the man who's trapped in the room and what he finds there...:y:
DH4: 'John McClane takes on an Internet-based terrorist organization who is systematically shutting down the United States'
Disappointed by this, seen it all before, yeah the action sequences are kinda cool but I could have cared less if the bad guy lost in the end (which obviously he always does), plus he was in no way intimidating or menacing (or even interesting for that matter) in any way. Cant even remember the other (boring) characters names in there, except of course McClane who goes about his usual business as expected. Painfully predictable.:n:
