Hi peeps ....

just had my car serviced and MOT'd

they found some things that needed doing too ....

they did the follwoing ...

MOT
Service
2 x new front brakes
3 x new tyres
oil changed
filter's changed
Replaced a drivers side door lock (on request due to sumone going at it with screwdriver)
CV Boot Joint cover thingy ... replaced and greased

Total cost = £515 !

What do you think ?

it sounds acceptable but not the most competitive price. what make are the tyres that they have put on?

maybe a tad expensive tbh after a quick count up on how much it has cost me for certain parts of what you have had done.

service - £120ish?
mot - £50
3 tyres, depends on tyres say £90 + fitting so £115

then £200ish for the rest seems steep

does seem a little steep tbh, but as a pointer, keep an eye on the CV gaitor as it is only a temp repair and will soon come off, then CV will dry ip and you'll need a new Driveshaft anyway ;)

just a tip for you :p
