Was just out gettin some grub, saw my mate parked up so i went to say how do. Was seriously windy. Few minutes later a lone trolley smashed into his door out of nowhere, and it must have been doing some speed cus the doors fooked, dents everywhere, big scratches. There was no one about it was the wind that blew it there, but it must have been left out in the carpark as all the others were locked away

Now imo this aint on, surely its the legal responsibility of the store to make sure its trolleys are secure. I tried to take photos, buit even with a flash camera you couldnt see anything of use. What should he do, the stores gonna tell him to fook off but its gonna cost loads to fix.

theres probably signs saying, cars are left at the owners risk. most likely have to take it on the chin. even thought its unfair

the store wont pay out or accept liability-most stores do not accept liability in the car parks as they usually say cars are left at the owners risk. you can show them the photos and say that the trolleys werent secure but they may just laff.

thats harsh though on your friend as he has to pay a fortune but hope he sorts things out

Yeah i think your probably right. Its well bad, will definately need a new door i reckon cus some of the dents are deep creases

trolleys do cause damage - every time i park my car at a supermarket i always get scratches on my car. the worst thing is you cant do anything about it - the store can turn around and say your lying and it was there before

You can fight it, threaten legal action for damages.
An A-board (them newspaper style advert boards) hit my brothers car whilst it was parked up and the guy paid him £500 as its an 03 reg BMW.
They have insurances for this kind of incident, if it hit a person and injured them. do you not think the person would claim compensation?
Its a similiar sort of saga. I think they must have public liability insurance and such..

You could take the offending trolley and launch it through the window of the offending shop... then when they ask WTF you're doing tell them the store is parked there at the owners own f**king risk :)
