Is there much point in doing this?

hi, i am thinking about putting a K&N induction kit on my 1.1i just to give it that extra roar in the engine...i aldready have a exhaust system on the car..is there much point adding a K&N

For a roar yeah, they do sound really nice. People will go on about power loss though but i dont think it treally matters on a 1.1/1.4

i've got a pipercross one on mine and to be honest i think theres no gains or losses. Just need a cold air feed from the front then it'll be ok. sometimes splutters a bit if the cars been sitting on idle in traffic for eg if its really hot but hey it did that before lol so i'd say go for it :)

i put a K&N on my 1.1 for a laugh back in the days.

was classic at traffic lights,
i sounded a right chav :D
