Does anyone know of any good cities that would be good for a wee weekend away? Need to be nice area? Not dead expensive, And be good for people like my age. Its a suprise for someone! Oh and it cant be in the uk lol, any ideas?

Venice is very nice, need longer than a weekend as there is lots to see and is very expensive. Paris is nice and also Barcalona.
