Right guys i need your help!!! ;)
My gearbox is on the way out as the bearings are starting to whine, so i've got to get another box, so this where you come into play! I've been hearing that a 1.1 box will lose top speed but will be a little quicker on acceleration!
What i would like to know is because i'm interested in doing 1/4 miles, would fitting a 1.1 box give me slower times than if i ran with a VTS/GTi box on a 1/4 sprint? I'm not to worried about losing too much top speed but how much top speed do you think i would lose?
The reason i'm also thinking about this is because a 1.1 box compared to a VTS/GTi box is on avareage in Cornwall working out just under £100 less, so that would be £100 extra in my pocket in savings! :P
Thank you in advance and reps will be given to those who help!
