Don't know about anyone else but i wish my saxo had an armrest.... :( so i had a look and found this thing on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=260127348647&rd=1&rd=1

not the prettiest thing i've seen... but wondered if anyone has had any experience of an armrest maybe even this one in particular

Luke

It does indeed.

It's great as I leave it on there whilst I change gear too and it's fab for motorway driving ;)

Yeah, I was a bit unsure at the time but it's one of the best things bought for the car to be honest..

The legs screw onto the base, that's it.

i am thinking of getting 1 of these too. i am quite impressed after seeing that pic, especially as the saxo doesnt have much storage space (i have the small glovebox at the top of the dash).

Could you take some pics from behind as if u were siting in the rear seats? Just wanna see what it looks like, as it looks quite good from the side.

Had a look at Lukes, pretty good job to be honest. Although they would be better if they were some kind of leather material.. the plastic scratches etc as I noticed on Lukes. Still it looked tidy and not out of place.

Handy a suppose for the vts's like mine that have no glove box at all. Doesnt't look to out of place!

have I just screwed mine up somehow???arrived today and i've tried adjusting it and can't seem to get it to fit properly. Pretty sure its exactly the same as luke's just with carbon fibre instead of chrome.

I cant get it back enough to be able to use the handbrake properly so gutted i was looking forward to it all weekend

Looks very nice! I've thought of buying one of those too.
After seeing the pics, I might get one this weekend.
Can you slide the seats back and forth without knocking the armrest out of its place?
Can you post a pic of how the armrest is mounted ds_vtr?
Did you mod yours Luke, to fit it like that, cause I don't want it to block the handbrake.

It's a bit dark now i'll take some decent pics tomorrow of how its assembled and how it works with the seats and post them when i get back from work. The seats tilt as normal but if you move the seats back and forth (and when sliding the seat to get people in the back) it will knock into the armrest. The reason why it was blocking the handbrake in the first couple of photos was because the seats were too far forward so i;ve had to move them back (and slightly adjust my driving position) It's very stable otherwise!

To be honest it still semi blocks the handbrake, i took it into a garage to ask for them to tighten it up so i wouldnt have to pull it up as far and was told it was on 3 clicks and wouldnt really make a difference if they did it. They also wanted £29.99 for the honour because they have to remove the heatshields etc. In my other cars its adjusted from next to the handbrake itself but thats french cars for you i guess.

Hope that helps for now, any more questions feel free to ask

Tnx ds_vtr, it certainly helps!
I've phoned my local bodyshop yesterday, 'cause they're offering armrests as well. They claim they have a smaller one which fits nicely between the seats (so you can operate them normally) and you should be able to mount it rock solid onto the original mounts of the seats.
I've a very busy schedule, but I'll try to see the guy this week.
He offered to test-fit the armrest before I buy it, I'll try and make some photo's too so you can see the results.
