Black number plates are illegal in this country unless the car has been registered in a country where their plates are black or unless it is over a certain age..... which your's isn't.

They aren't road legal mate, look at previous posts. The numbers maybe but the black and silver are for older cars. It has to be white at the front and yellow at the back otherwise its illegal.

As I said on the first page... you will need to register your car in Guernsey to get plates like that or just accept that you can't get them legally in this country.

English Number Plates:

Older plates had white, grey or silver characters on a black background. This style of plate was phased out in 1972, and is now legal to be carried only on vehicles built prior to 1 January 1973.
