Pitch Black was a good film (on a reasonably small budget) and it's popularity grew almost as fast as Vin Diesel's ego.

When a film does well the movie making machine latches on (ker-ching), then there's no stopping it. And that's why we have the The Chronicles of Riddick today. Quoting the BBC films Web site: "it's frustrating that the film has such an inflated sense of its own importance" - Must say I agree in this case.

Pitch Black has even been retrospectively re-branded as "The Chronicles of Riddick Pitch Black" in an attempt to make it all look planned.

(annoyingly, everyone will go out and watch these films, hollywood will make even more money, and the cycle will repeat)


Back on-topic:
IMO the increasing size and frequency of images in signatures is swamping the content, and with the number of complaints that are received about it I'm considering some configuration changes...

Yes, they ruined it.

The good thing about the fast and the furious is that they used real cars that were owned by normal people and had been on several shows.
In too fast too furious they build the cars specially for the movie and that sucks.
