Warning light on, Engine symbol??

Today my warning light came on and i dont know what it is. Its the one that is a picture of an engine. What does this mean??

thats the engine management system could be a number of things probably best idea to have the car put on a diagnostic machine

hi, this means there is something wrong with your engine. I have the same problem and am currently getting it fixed. It could be a problem with your ECU or wiring (as i think it is with mine) Does it run any diffently?

It doesnt run any differently. Not tht i have noticed so far. It has been on for the last 50 miles.

Yep, that needs looking at via a Diagnostics check at a garage. They will be able to tell you why the light has come on and how to deal with it. Will cost you a bit (not much) but you should get it done.

Does the light re-light once you've switched the engine off and back on again? I have known the light to come on, the engine to be switched off, switched back on again and no light to be illuminated and when the car was put through diagnostics no fault codes popped up! Its not worth the risk though, for the sake of taking it to a garage it worth doing just in case.

book it in with citroen, diagnostic test for £30. that should tell you why the light is on
