Well there are 4.546 litres to a gallon.
Make sure your petrol light is on before filling so you know how much you have used when it comes on again.
So however many litres you put in ie 30 litres (so £30) divide that by 4.546 and that will give you the number of gallons you have put in.
Then calculate how many miles you have done (when your petrol light comes on again) and divide that by the ammount of gallons you put it.
This will give you your mpg.
As for the ammount of petrol needed it depends what sort of roads you will be on, motorway driving used alot less than stop start town driving.
Also sitting at 60 uses alot less than sitting at 80 so depends how you drive to.
I would have thought you could do that journey for £30 driving sensibly.
Hope this helps feel free to rep hehe
