sfx kit will be about 130 with delivery form the usa, best bet is to wait for the uk version of the ultimate detailing machine, this way you wont need a transformer

pads usually come in the sfx kit for the porter cable 7424

pads seperate range from about 5 to 10 pound

polishes depends on what you want and how much you have

the one on ebay is ok actually, its up to you if you want to risk one from usa, sometimes import tax does sting you, but with the exchange rate quite low at the minute you may save a bit of money

as for the link furiofanatic has put up, there good for people who know what there doing as its easy to burn the paint with them, the pc or ultimate detailing machine is bes tfor beginners as its a lot harder to burn the paint

yes apparantly the pad on a porter cable doesnt just move round in a perfect circle but "wiggles" a bit which means you dont burn the paint. they look the businees like, makes the car look new when its done right!

the 7424 and ultimate pc have a weight to off balance it therefore wont stay in the same spot it will want to keep moving, so yes best for beginners, pros actually still use them too

can you buy uk ones?

well not yet there only available from the states at the moment and will need the plug changed over and a transformer for them to work, but if you wait a few months theres a uk version that will just plug straight in and your away, so just wait to see what price they are first, really not sure when there out but shouldnt be long
