nearly bought some french plates at fcs today but was unsure about insurance so didnt get them. do they have to be declared on insurance if its a plate with the F on the side for france? (im sure you all know what i mean)

french plates arnt legal but dont have to notify the insurance.

oh rite i thought there was some rule where if your car was registered before a certain date you can the french plates on. is this not true?

nope for it to be legal to have french plates on, the vehicle must be registered in france

Yeah insurance wont care. Police will though if they want to be picky. I have been done for my french plates when i was driving through stratford. Yet day before i was pulled for tints and car was checked over and they never said anythink. Even when i got done for them the guy said the computer still picked them up and bought up my details. He just wanted to do me for somethink i think.
