right peeps i was out tightning up my wheel bolts with a torque wrench and i set it to 85 Nm which is the right torque setting for the wheel bolts, i was tightning the last whel bolts and it whent from being stiff to been really easy to turn but it dont matter how much im tightning the wheel bolt isnt getting any tighter, the torque wrench didnt click so i know it didnt get to the pre-set torque setting, so what do you think has happened

sounds like your threads are shot to shit mate tbh. take the bolt out and have a look at the bolt and inside the bolt hole aswell. have you tried doing it with just a normal wrench as maybe your t-wrench is kackered:y:

tried doing the rest of the bolts with the torque wrench and i was fine, when it got to its pre-set torque it would click so you couldnt go any further

stripped either the threads on the hub or on the nut. Will need retapped or possibly hub changed.

it depends whether it's the thread on the bolt or the thread on the inside of the hub. The hubs are bastards to change so it's easier to get a new rear beam. If it's the bolts then it will cost you the price of a new bolt...
you need to check it out yourself mate.

At a guess i'd say it was the hub which was threaded, one of mine is going aswell & im not lookingforward to replacing the hub although it doesnt tlook too hard in the Haynes manual :)

i have fixed the problem it was the hub threads that were damaged, so i took the wheel off and tightened the wheel bolt back up to see if i could re-thread the hub, i tightened it right up and then losened it right off a few times, then replacing the wheel it seems to have worked the wheel bolt has now tightened right up no problem, cheers for the help, it was the rear drivers side.
