Basically as the title says, I have a squeky clutch that has just come on today and is really annoying me. Also ever since I have had the car there has been a rattling underneath it, and my gearstick (to me) seems loose (that have anything to do with it?!?). The dealership I bought it off assured me that the gearbox was fine, although they did stitch me up as the gearbox bush needed replacing. The only time it rattles is when its moving, and when im moving changing gears.

1. Will WD40 be ok to stop the squeking, or is there any better stuff to use. Or is this a sign that my clutch might be on the way out.

2. Any ideas on the rattling? Loose exhaust bracket? or gearbox?

Thanks.

Does it rattle when you hit a bump?

Are you brake pads secure in the calipers?

Otherwise i'd get under the car and see if the exhaust wobbles at all. could be that to be honest

mines the same.... sounds like a badly fitted exhause.... mines a powerflow so problems do occour when it comes to that (Perfect Fit)

my calipers seems ok, although my brakes kind of grind a lil, will need that looking at as well, lol, not going very well is it.
it just rattles when im going. i thought it might have been the exhaust, but just it seems to rattle sometimes as I change gear as well?!
I cant really look under my car properly, its a lil to low, and the only jacks i have wont go under it lol.

is the squeaky clutch only when the engine is off? Mine does the same but its fine when I turn on the engine and drive, perhaps the engine noise is masking the squeak but I dont think its a problem, some lube might help.

it does seem to squeak more/louder when the engines off, but like you said i think it would just be engine noise covering it. any sort of lube stuff ok, good old WD? or prop oil?
