me an my mate done mine, piece of piss mate. Take a hair drier to the badges, then prise them off. T-cut the leftover adhesive. Tape up the backs off the holes and use some filler. Sand it all down till its perfect then re=spray the whole back.

All you need to do is buy a small tub of filler, some sand paper and 20 quid worth of spray paint from halfords (primer, 2 cans of the colour and laquer) Its a doddle to do, honestly! But i suppose if you're not really confident then probably better off gettin it done properly eh?

I know, i let my mate prep it whilst i was out test driving my mates car, when i came back i just thought ah well wont do much harm and it hasnt really, got a bit of spray on the lights which just came straight out and a wee bit on the bumper which came out which back to black. The paint looks fine to me, im not bothered with the look of it at all. Those pics i posted are just really blown up, better ones up now

Predator_R32

for the best finish you would have to spray the whole lid and use a compressor with a gravity fed gun

is there laquer on it??

Stewart_1314
21st July 2007, 15:51
We sprayed the whole rear m8, yeah theres laquer on it. Think its just the way the lights shining on the last one.

The first 2 pictures were in the process of doing it btw! We were doing the ariel (had snapped off before i bought it and there was a big hole so we fibre glassed, filled and re-sprayed) so we were letting one coat dry and moving onto the ariel then back and forth...

Stewart_1314

Predator_R32
21st July 2007, 16:23
dont use t-cut mate its crap, use a proper swirl remover or paint restorer

use some megs swirl removers, or poorboys or menzerna, just not t-cut, its bad for all the wrong reasons, theres a sticky in the car care section about it

Stewart_1314

range in price mate from about 10 to 20 pound i think

t-cut just covers things up doesnt get rid of scratches etc
