Whats the deal with 3 way components?

Was just browsing around some components to put in my new car, and i noticed the 3 way ones?

They have 2 woofers i see, dus that make them better?

just give out different frequencies mate, the bigger one will probablies give out a bit more bass, the mid well mid range sound and the tweeters a high pitched sound, tbh 2 ways are just as good unless your builing a show car or want a real competition install

Theres a lot of install work to be done to get 3 ways i to a Saxo. Its only been done a hand full of times. I did it but dont thik I would bother with the hassle and expence if I built another system.
